Chocolate Cake

If you wanted to design a society that continually races to the bottom, you would teach them how to justify everything they want to do by abusing correlation.

For example: Eggs are a healthy source of protein, which is a vital macronutrient for life.

Chocolate cake has eggs so it must be ‘healthy’ right?

We need protein, we want chocolate.

The industrial marketing age taught us to creatively use correlation to dress up and justify all sorts of behaviors that weren’t in our best long-term interest.

The path to prosperity is through behavior that ultimately causes prosperity to occur.

Correlation is a coincidental bystander, causation is the one that does all the work.
